Week 11: Eagles vs Lions, SNF

So last week I said "this should be a fun one" when discussing the Packers game. I couldn't have been more wrong. But a win's a win, even if the experience resembled a root canal or proctology exam more than an actual football game.

Let's hope if the Birds plan on a repeat performance, they can provide some anaesthesia ahead of time.

With a 4th prime time performance in just the 10th game of the season and with yet another Super Bowl contender on hand with the Detroit Lions, the NFL schedule makers have definitely done this Eagles team very few favors this season.

But despite facing a non-divisional gauntlet that holds a 41-22-1 record (counting the Lions heading into this week), the Birds find themselves 7-2 and holding pole position in the NFC playoff race, while just a half game behind the surprising trio of Indy/Denver/NE in the AFC.
